Thanks, I tried it on an old laptop that was still Windows 10 and it didn't work and then I actually read the read me file also and realized that it wouldn't work. The symptom is loss of some or many areas of the LCD characters and there are no more manufacturer replacement nor any substitute displays available anymore so if your radio exhibits this problem then you'll need to source a used display and hope it lasts.

It appeared to install ok and on reboot I tried opening the software, I got the first motorola splash and then an error message that the "file could not be found". I tried it on a 32bit windows 7 home of a friend of mine and it ran fine there.
